Psalms 34

The Lord, a Provider and Deliverer.

A Psalm of David when he
Or changed his behavior
feigned madness before
Possibly a title of King Achish of Gath, see 1 Sam 21:10-15
Abimelech, who drove him away and he departed.

1 I will cbless the Lord at all times;
His dpraise shall continually be in my mouth.
2My soul will emake its boast in the Lord;
The fhumble will hear it and rejoice.
3O gmagnify the Lord with me,
And let us hexalt His name together.

4I isought the Lord, and He answered me,
And jdelivered me from all my fears.
5They klooked to Him and were radiant,
And their faces will lnever be ashamed.
6This
Or afflicted
poor man cried, and nthe Lord heard him
And saved him out of all his troubles.
7The oangel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him,
And rescues them.

8O ptaste and see that the Lord is good;
How qblessed is the man who takes refuge in Him!
9O fear the Lord, you rHis saints;
For to those who fear Him there is sno want.
10The young lions do lack and suffer hunger;
But they who seek the Lord shall tnot be in want of any good thing.
11 uCome, you children, listen to me;
vI will teach you wthe fear of the Lord.
12 xWho is the man who desires life
And loves length of days that he may ysee good?
13Keep zyour tongue from evil
And your lips from speaking aadeceit.
14 abDepart from evil and do good;
Seek peace and acpursue it.

15The adeyes of the Lord are toward the righteous
And His ears are open to their cry.
16The aeface of the Lord is against evildoers,
To afcut off the memory of them from the earth.
17 The righteous agcry, and the Lord hears
And delivers them out of all their troubles.
18The Lord ahis near to the aibrokenhearted
And saves those who are
Or contrite
,
akcrushed in spirit.

19 alMany are the amafflictions of the righteous,
But the Lord andelivers him out of them all.
20He keeps all his bones,
aoNot one of them is broken.
21 apEvil shall slay the wicked,
And those who hate the righteous will be
Or held guilty
condemned.
22The Lord arredeems the soul of His servants,
And none of those who astake refuge in Him will be

condemned.
